Port Townsend is a popular tourist destination on the Olympic Peninsula, known for beautiful vistas, tasting rooms and maritime history. Less well known is the poverty that exists across the county. During the COVID pandemic, families were left vulnerable because isolated growing projects made it hard to overcome food supply challenges. 

Dr. Lea Atzmon Mordoch set out the eight-month project with the goal of motivating children toward community activism in the field of sustainability. Her role in the ICT Department of the Ministry of Education in the Haifa District gave her access to educators throughout the Municipal Education Department of Hadera Israel, where various school options serve diverse community members. 

In the 1800s, Chance Brothers & Co glassworks in Smethwick, Scotland, began making highly engineered lenses that lighthouses used to warn ships about dangerous locations. By 1951, over 2,500 lighthouses worldwide were fitted with a Chance lens.

Glasgow is an exciting place in all seasons. Still, with COP26 coming to town, local organisations wanted to find a way of highlighting places in the city for delegates and visitors to meet local people and exchange ideas.
