The first web-enabled GIS Green Map was been launched by the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. Covering all of Pinellas County, Florida, this beautiful area and exciting Green Map includes 24 cities. This colorful & expansive interactive, multi-lingual Green Map is extraordinary! It is also the first Green Map to require a "plug in" which you can download directly at their website, which powers the GIS as a truly dynamic geographical "green" service. Layers of information about each site can be zoomed into. Soon, the Community Engagement feature will be added, so new sites can be added easily. Thanks to the leadership of Carole Ketterhagen, Executive Director of the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, this Green Map was yet another Global First!
