This is a Green Map developed by middle school students in Tirana.

About this Map

Students at the middle school "Deshmoret e Lirise," in Tirana, Albania, will attend a short course in Geographic Information Systems and its applications in environmental topics in late June. The course is prepared and it will be taught by the University of Florida and the GISCorps. At the end of the course students will prepare the first Green Map for Tirana, based on their own understanding and experience of their town, and they will attach the Green Map to an Open Letter directed to their mayor.

Javen e fundit te Qershorit 2012, nxenesit e shkolles "Deshmoret e Lirise," ne Tirane, Shqiperi, do te ndjekin nje kurs te shkurter ne Sisteme Gjeografike Informacioni, si dhe aplikimet e tyre ne ambjent. Kursi eshter pregatitur nga Universiteti i Florides dhe do te drejtohet po nga Universiteti i Florides si edhe nga GISCorps. Ne funt te kursit, nexenesit do te krijojne harten a pare te gjelber per Tiranen, bazuar ne njohurite dhe experiencat e tyre personale te qytetit. Ata do ta bashkangjisin kete harte ne nje letter te hapur qe do ti drejtojne prefektit te Tiranes.
