This Green Map was published in May 1999. It was created by the Washtenaw County Dept. Environment and Infrastructure Services, the City of Ann Arbor, Recycle Ann Arbor and the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center. With the help of grad students in Urban Planning at the University of Michigan, this dynamic team had the first edition printed in time for the National Town Meeting for a Sustainable America, just 8 months after start-up. This Green Map covered a very large area with dozens of interesting sites in the city and surrounding county. The project was led by Marion H. Smith and colleagues.
