About this Map

Guelph's Green Map was published during World Environment Week 2005! This Green Map began as university student Emily Mann's landscape architecture independent project. While her project was just for school, she did create a local icon for footbridge that has been used on various Green Maps. In 2004, a fellow student, Sarita Moodie began taking the project the next steps forward. Greenspace, trails, old trees and green businesses were her focus, and Sarita was able to time the printing of the Guelph Green Map with the city's annual Speed River Clean-up, Community Appreciation Night and Clean-Air Day! Special thanks to project supporter OPIRG! The Green Map came out great - it's a wonderful design - we look forward to sharing an image here soon!
