On Sunday 15th April Nia Adamson from the Butetown Improvement Group in Cardiff met up with Mike and Enid Trevett from Action for Change, map makers for the Fife and Clackmannanshire projects. Discussions we had about how we could link young people from Butetown with young people from the West Fife villages on joint 'expand your horizons' mapping project. Funding will now be looked for to develop this idea probably from The Big Lottery 'Investing in Ideas' fund. www.biglotteryfund.org.uk
Well done Mike and Callum, the first teenagers in Fife to Green Map their local neighbourhood. I look forward to seeing some of your photographs of Kincardine, especially those favourite places of yours that probably few people know about.
Youth Mapping in the UK
At Green Map's global office, we are all hopeful about this potential collaboration and that the Big Lottery does indeed invest in this wonderful effort! Have a great summer ahead with your community's youth...
