eWaste (used/outdated/broken electronic recycling)is being collected in Green Map System's parking lot on
Saturday July 28 from 10am to 4pm
Sunday, July 29 from 10am to 4pm
Monday, July 30 from 4pm to 7pm
Green Map staff will be there - 220 East 4th St in Manhattan's East Village - on Sunday, handing out our maps and introducing community members to our local resources and global program.
Hosted by Lower East Side Ecology Center, our partners on the 2006 Composting Green Map of Manhattan, it's expected that several truckloads of working and non-working:
Computers (laptop & desktop), Monitors, Printers, faxes, copiers, TVs,VCR & DVD Players, Cell Phones, PDAs, phones, answering machines,cd’s, zips, VHS tapes and more (Details are here) will be collected and recycled, keeping toxics out of the landfills and from being dumped in developing world communities.
