The first Swiss Green Map is on the way and soon on line!!

The Green Map of the Grand Saconnex, a town closed to Geneva, has been set up with students from 8 to 14 y-o, from different schools working in different languages (International school of Geneva, Primary school of Pommier, school of André Chavanne, and the Scouts of Grand Saconnex). They really enjoyed this work and learnt lot of things about their town. But we have also learnt a lot from them and their original point of view!

The inhabitants have also been contacted and a forum was organised in order to get their ideas and opinions on the project. The discussion provided a wealth of insights!

Then, we sent a questionnaire to the local associations and local firms to received more information and details about the initiatives that could exist on the territory.

After having created a first map for the sustainable development week end in June, we are now working on a definitive map and on the website. They should be ready for November.

This really exciting project and the enthusiasm it has generated, incite other cities and towns of the Geneva’s Canton to do the same and create their own Green Map.
