Kamakura Green Map, Kanagawa Pref.

Introduction
This map essentially focused on issues of landscape conservation, resources, and transportation in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
About this Map

In the historical seaside city of Kamakura Japan, an exceptinally wonderful Green map was published by members of Kamakura FM and volunteers, led by graduate student Shinsuke Shimao. Now a practicing designer, this map reflects the many months of careful design and research - it's simply great. With photos of beloved sites, and several new icons for historical features, this Green Map dates back to the 12th century beginnings of this seaside temple town.

On Kamakura Green Map, we express Green Map System Icon by using 4 flag colors and the concept is “sensitivity to the times” and “see/use/apply.” These 4 colors shows 3 eras that feature Kamakura, and natural environment. We express the relationship between history and environment with representing sensitivity to the times by color and how to apply information of several periods for modern living.
