NGO Satoyama is an organization based in Kitakyushu Fukuoka, that promotes sustainable lifestyle in a "Satoyama" way. Satoyama, a definition meaning "country side" in Japanese, we Satoyama share the knowledge of Satoyama-style lifestyle to urban cities to change the cities into more sustainable one.
NGO Satoyama held a Green Map event back in 2005. Beyond that event, we organized Green Map events to introduce the kids, hosted by Eco-Museum Kitakyushu. As Green Map being a "catalyst" for the community, we are feel confident about the progress, and want to keep on using Green Map to grow this sustainable community.

里山を考える会では、「持続可能なライフスタイルを里山的暮らしのデザインで！」をコンセプトに、環境や社会に負荷をかけない、都市での里山的な暮らしの在り方や実践を行うとともに、持続可能なライフスタイルの地域づくり街づくりを目指した活動を行っています。
里山を考える会では、北九州市小倉駅周辺の都心部にて２００５年グリーンマップイベントを開催。それから環境ミュージアム主催で小学生対象のイベントでは、環境ミュージアムがある北九州市八幡東区を中心にグリーンマップを作成しています。グリーンマップでつながるコミュニティも少しずつでき始め、力をいれて活動していきたいと考えています。
