Ethical Manifesto
Search both a personal and collective lifestyle, more rigorous, and more attentive to world changes but not losing sight of the objective “the little things”.
Freedom of choice! Our daily little choices can help us change the world and make us feel better.
Give prominence to firms conducting business properly and not to those solely interested in profit without respect for people, animals, environment and product quality.
Search new possibilities to create the rules of a local economy in contrast to those dictated by a consumerist economy offered through globalization.
Create a critical and ethical behavior in the user of this project to arrive at choices of products which do not cause harm to people, animals, environment.
Transmit and stimulate a behavioral style conforming to the development of sustainablility in inhabitants and tourists, such as:
purchase of local, biological, quality products.
purchase of fair trade products.
consume less energy.
consume less water.
reduce pollution in rivers and lakes.
reduce waste.
walk, bike, use public transportation and car sharing.
Create an information and message network consonant with supply and demand.
These are the points, which can be amplified and shared, which have convinced us to create FlorenceEthical, a kind of work in progress, where everyone can express their views, offer their contribution and their ideas and their availability for a better future.
Our guide has chosen to neutralize our own gas emissions due to hothouse effect of it's production and is printed on recycled paper since 2006 and in collaboration with AzzeroCo2 Toscana Etica contribuites in renewable energy projects.
FlorenceEthical is a project of Toscana Etica Cultural Association

Bioquartiere (bioneighborhood is a farmers'market created and organized by our association Toscana Etica) intends to privilege the social, cultural and human exchange between who sells and who buys. The means, therefore, to carry over tradition, knowledge, ethicality which do not exist in traditionally normal commercial activities. In bioneighborhoods you will find producers of biological products, herbalists, small artisans, publishers, alternative media , various and sundry workshops.
Bioneighborhood, therefore, reinforces a territorial system, thereby reducing production costs, transport and publicity, allowing the destination of major resources to product quality specifically defining the difference between real and induced needs, thereby establishing the right price for products of highly ethical and environmental quality, favoring direct contact between local producers and consumers, thereby consolidating the bond between the territory and it’s inhabitants facilitating in that way the existence of small sized businesses.
Bioneighborhood farmers' market takes place every 2nd Sunday of the month, from 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM in Florence, Italy at Q2 Villa Arrivabene in Piazza Alberti 1/A, EXCLUDING THE MONTHS OF
