This is an effort to map all of the "green" assets, capacities, and opportunities of the Asheville area.
To produce a comprehensive, map-based overview that will spur greater coordination, making Asheville a regional leader in green inventiveness.
For now, this is an informal effort guided by Chris Dixon (concerned citizen) and Charles N. Carter Jr. (former NC state senator). We will be networking across all of Asheville's expansive green community, inviting one and all to list their interest on the map. Our long-term goal is to build Asheville's role as an incubator of leading green techniques that will position the area as the "green capital" of the Southeastern United States. Ideally, Asheville will become an exporter of its expertise across the region.
