We are including Grupo Aves del Perú (GAP) because is an alternative for all people who want improve their knowledge about birds, their ecology and their threatened habitats.
Wacarpay is the last area for migratory bird near Cusco. It's the last of the wild places where we can learn about ecology, biology and ecological processes in wetlands.
GAP's goals are:
1. Participate in the biological diversity conservation management, especially on the different bird species.
2. Promote the research of the ecosystem diversity in the Andes and South Tropic areas of Peru, especially over the Cusco Region.
3. Create, design, promote and execute research projects about the avian species.
4. Organize the conservation and management plan for tropical and Andean ecosystems.
5. Promote environmental education in the local communities nearby to special ecosystems.
6. Train and motivate students, local communities and professionals on conservation management issues.
