Past Mapmakers
This Green Map project is dedicated to promoting bicycling and walking in the city of Iizuka in Fukuoka Prefecture! For reducing CO2, we should make a shift from using our own cars to using bicycles/mass transit and walking. Working with students and volunteers in a university laboratory, professor Hirotoshi Yoda expects to publish both printed and webmaps in Spring 2006.

About this Map

Bicycle is environmental-friendly vehicle and appropriate for healthful exercise. However, there are a lot of hazardous places for bicycle riding in our town. We find out such hazardous places from questionnaire about bicycle to local high school students and on this map, we show such hazardous places by using icons. Our map also includes a lot of information of local familiar nature resources.
