About this Map

The Faith & Spiritual Communities of Swansea hold a common belief that we all share one planet and have a responsibility to care, respect and protect it for ourselves and future generations. This Map is a symbolic representation of that shared belief and commitment. It has been two years in the making and was inspired by the local Swansea Green Map project which was produced to help people do their bit to make Swansea a really sustainable place to live, work, and visit. Through simple local actions done together as one human family we can make a huge difference both locally and globally.

The Map is a partnership project between Interfaith Swansea and Sustainable Swansea. Interfaith Swansea is a grass roots movement of people from different Faith & Spiritual Communities who are working together to build bridges between local people of all faiths & beliefs, and none. For more information visit: www.interfaithswansea.org. Sustainable Swansea is a project that is led by Swansea Environmental Forum which is an association of organisations, groups and individuals working together to develop and coordinate action for the environment across Swansea. For more information visit: www.sustainableswansea.net.

The Map was funded by many hours of volunteer time and by grants received from Communities @One and the Faith Communities Capacity Building Fund.
