Halifax North West Trails is a small community group that advocates trail building for recreation, healthy living and active transportation and an appreciation of the natural environment in a highly urbanized region of Halifax Regional Municipality. In June, 2009, the Halifax NW Trails committee and trail users met to develop a green map focused on outdoor living and sustainable use of the trail system. This map is intended to be a resource for local hikers.
