This Jones Falls Trail Green Map covers the entire Baltimore City portion of the watershed. The centerpiece is the trail, partly built, partly still under construction. An inset map of Druid Hill Park, our largest urban park, has 50 listings within the park itself! We hope to help the trail be successful as a commuter and recreational path as we illustrate the many resources that can be accessed by using it.

About the Map:

As a new green map maker in the north-east China, Green Longjiang would like to use the Green Map as a convincing tool of environmental protection and education. We’d like to show natives the beautiful vision and the important value of the wetland along the Songhua River, habitants of the North-East Tiger, important ecosystem protection regions, green communities, and etc.. So that, more and more local person come to take apart in the protection activities initiatively. To achieve such objectives, our team, including college students and citizens, would go deep into every important area and work together with local persons or institutions. Green maps we make up would be released in the whole Heilongjiang Region.

About the Map:

The first Green Map in Jakarta was of Kemang, South Jakarta, made in 2001 by a group of residents, architects and media workers. The second map, in 2002, was of Kebayoran Baru, also in South Jakarta. The third one, in 2003 was of Menteng, Central Jakarta. The most recent Jakarta Green Map was that of the Old Town in West and North Jakarta, made in 2005. In mid 2008, Jakarta Green Map movement sees a revival to promote a healthy and sustainable city. All related features along Jakarta sustainable transport options (bike lane, busway and railway) will be pointed out in the coming city wide map. The map will be put together by city communities, including Jakarta Green Monster, Bike2Work, KRL Mania, Greenlifestyle, IAI and many others.

The Icelandic Green Map is a joint international project of Nature.is the Green Map Systems project, and the University of Iceland. The Icelandic Green Map is based on the Green Map universal icon system, and the extensive work of Nature.is in registering various sources on its Green Pages and supplying the map with a massive database of eco-friendly information on Icelandic business and tourism. The map is published in Icelandic on http://www.natturan.is/greenmap/ and in English on http://www.nature.is/greenmap/ along with the enormous amount of information already displayed on the site. G.Map@Dali was Dali Global Village Eco-Tourism(DGVET) first GREENMAP project to try to promote GREEN awareness thru the icons to the locals. Being overwhelmed by massive GREEN slogans and advetisments locally. We have to link the message onto the world here. Dali was the first stop on the main chinese tourists route in westrn Yunnan. Nested at the foot of Mt Cang beside Lake Er at 2000m, the Ancient City of Dali had been around for more then 2000 years. Being the main city on the Southern Silk Road (aka Burma Trail), the city was now still filled by travellers from all over the world in the booming travel industry. With the immense growth in domestic & foreign tourists, along brought much to be dealt with in, the limited capacity to process the remains left by the millions. to what extend? we'll be extending & beyond...
