Green Drinks and Solar Fair

Although, as a teacher near the end of June, I am psychotically busy, I am looking forward to a full weekend as our community hosts its first annual Solar Fair. www.craikecovillage.ca

We are also kicking it off with the first "Craik Green Drinks" at 6pm June 22 at the Craik Eco-Centre.

I expect that the last of our Craik Green Maps will disappear this weekend, except for a very few stashed away for the Ness Creek Festival later in July...

I wonder if we need to print more, although I wanted to wait until I could design a new version. Financial reality will make the decision for us, for now. But what a great summer it is shaping up to be!

Updated Craik Green Map needed

With several exciting projects scheduled for 2008 in the Craik area, an updated Craik Green Map is called for.

Projects we are looking forward to highlighting include the Praxis International School (specializing in Sustainability and Entrepreneurship) and the Crailar Processing Mill (for processing hemp fibre for a variety of applications including clothing, not to mention new residents in the eco-village. Exciting stuff!

Our plan is to take some new aerial photographs in the spring or early summer for our base map, and go from there.
