The City of Miami Beach's Environmental Resources Management Division was leading the Green Map effort, with Environmental Manager Jordanna Rubin and staff members Christine Leduc and Natalia Di Martino. Christine has studied sustainable development at the University of British Columbia in Canada, while Natalia has studied at the University de Flores in Buenos Aires Argentina, where she also helped create Green Maps in that community. Both are also working on the new Miami Beach Green Alliance initiative. This will provide resources for businesses to become more environmentally sustainable, which may then qualify them to be included in the Green Map." The project ceased making progress in 2005, though.
