This was an important map for us. We identified areas along our Broad Brook watershed that were endangered. Since that time Wal-Mart destroyed portions of the brook and wetland but the town has protected the rest.
We have been able to gain protection of the Broad Brook riparian area since this map was published. The map was part of raising awareness of the importance of this area as Yarmouth's future Central Park. We have also developed a Greenway plan for the area.
We were contacted by people who developed the Halifax green maps.
We need more people and a concerted effort on maps for our whole county.
