A Web Based Green Map
This isn’t just a Map, this is your connection to an interactive web based Green Map of Calgary and an inventory of places, spaces and much more. Sustainable Calgary has put the Green Map on its website:
The online Calgary Green Map is a “Google mash-up”, essentially a Google Map fused with Green Map sites and pictures. On this site you can navigate by zooming in or out or by panning around just like you would in a normal Google Map environment. The cool thing about the online Green Map is that you can get detailed information about each Green Map site by clicking on it to expose pictures, directions, and information about the site.
As opposed to a “hard copy” Green Map that gets printed annually, the online Green Map can be constantly and easily updated. We believe as more people become exposed and involved with the Green Map, it will evolve into a dynamic living map. New sites will be added and/or edited and the resulting map will serve as a jump off point for future discussion on “Green” issues.
