One of the objectives of the Homework school in Placet is to help them to be actor in their environment, the Placet, the neighborhood, the city of Louvain-La- Neuve. We will develop a 'Green Map' in the neighborhood of the Placet with children and teenagers 9-14 years of our homework school. The area to be mapped will be defined by the children as well as the themes of sustainable development. After an activity that will be covered by our partners of the 'House of Sustainable Development' to explain them what does mean ‘Sustainable Development’ every day in their house, their neighborhood, and globally, the kids will decide what their want to map. We will take time to go around and make observations, map it on paper, discuss it with the kids, to finally get to our final map. This final map, will reflect the kids vision and will be loaded on the green map site.

L’Ecole de Devoirs (EDD) du Placet à Louvain La Neuve regroupe des enfants de différentes nationalités. Un des premiers objectifs que nous poursuivons, et qui dérive de la vocation du Centre Placet, est de stimuler les enfants à s’impliquer dans la vie communautaire du Centre mais aussi celle de leur quartier et de la ville de Louvain-La-Neuve. En construisant notre 'Carte Verte du Placet', nous voulons initier les enfants à la participation citoyenne active. Notre objectif est aussi de les sensibiliser aux problématiques concrètes et locales du développement durable pour les aider à adopter des attitudes et comportements plus respectueux de leur environnement. De plus par l’intégration de notre Carte Verte au projet global de cartographie participative GREENMAP, nous pourrons amener les enfants à une réflexion sur le Développement Durable au Nord et au SUD.
