Aichi Expo 05

Aichi's Story ‘05 describes the participation of Green Map projects in Aichi EXPO 2005 (March – September 2005) led by Chubu Recycle Citizens Organization. Our global network was represented by GreenMap Aichi’s 40 diverse Green Map projects, alongside their two popular showcases of local and global Green Maps. “Organizers hoped to inspire visitors … to return home with a message of conservation and resource protection.’

Brooklyn's Story 2002

Brooklyn's Story 2002 describes the creation of Go Green NYC, a Green Map created by young people pass4sure 646-656 ages 12-17, in conjunction with the North Brooklyn Recycle-A-Bicycle. The initial goal that spurred the creation of this map was to encourage more of NYC's young people to use healthy, non-polluting ways to pass4sure 650-251 get around the city. The mapmaking team researched NYC’s bike riding conditions, finding that there were many infrastructural and environmental obstacles keeping this city from being bike friendly. The Go Green NYC map was meant to bring attention to this issue, pass4sure NS0-153 and to generate dialogue about solutions that will help balance the use of the city's streets. Besides bikes, the Mapmakers also charted other forms of public transportation, including pass4sure 646-046 The Brooklyn Trolley Project, ferries to Staten Island and Hoboken, among others.
