The 2007 Commission on the Environment & Sustainability's Education and Outreach Committee recommended the following: The Environmental Education and Outreach Program should provide information and resources for government programs and the community about protecting the environment and reducing the use of fossil fuels for energy. The Program should establish a clearinghouse, Green Central Station, to provide a central source of information and technical assistance for Howard County citizens, government and the private sector.

The Office of Environmental Sustainability is in the process of developing the online clearinghouse entitled Green Central Station and we are planning on including a green map of Howard County as part of that site.
