Food and Our City. We are a team of environmental investigators for the "Sprout to action!" Mapmaking project. This year we were interested to learn more about food: how it's grown, where it comes from, how it gets to New York City, and the ways in which it affects ourselves, our greater communities, and our environment. Through our research we learned that the decisions we make about the food we eat not only affect our physical and mental health, but they also have a direct impact on farmers, markets, and various environmental conditions.
