The Geographic, Statistical and Government Information Centre at the University of Ottawa proposes to create an online interactive Green Map to increase visibility of green practices as well as problematic sites on its main campus.

The goal is to increase the university community awareness of its ecological footprint. Green features to be mapped will include parks and open space, community composts, recycling locations, bus stops, bicycling paths, bicycling racks, etc...

Our main goals are:

(1) To increase accessibility to information for the university community and outside communities.

(2) Protect green spaces and green roofs

(3) Increase sustainable transportation

(4) Increase recycling by looking at distribution of recycling bins on campus

(5) Unite services on main campus that share common goals

(6) Increase service visibility
