We propose to create an interactive Binghamton Green Map to promote awareness and utilization of ‘green’ resources in our community. Green features to be mapped will include parks and open space, heritage sites, community gardens, recycling locations, bus stops, bicycle paths, bicycle racks, and farmers' markets. It will also include information about locations where ‘green’ practices have been implemented. The creation of the Green Map will be a multi-disciplinary exercise involving Binghamton University students and faculty, city administrators, local nonprofit organizations and community members.
