San Miguel de Allende was recently named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is located in the mountains of central Mexico and has a dry, semi-desert climate. Rapid population growth is at risk of damaging the local environment and depleting the water supply. Fortunately, the are many organizations working to protect our natural resources and many residents are interested in sustainable living. A bi-lingual 'green map' helps both foreign and mexican community members locate green resources.
