Green Map Icon Poster
Published with the release of the Green Map Icons (Version 2) in 1999, our poster vividly displays all 125 global Green Map® Icons, with text in Japanese, Spanish, French and English. These four languages were selected to honor many of the pioneering Green Mapmakers who have contributed so much to GMS's development. The Icon Poster is designed to help people around the world understand the meanings of the Icons, and reinforce the impact of Green Mapmaking. The reverse side includes all the keystrokes for the Icon font and indicates the subset of Youth Icons, making it a great tool for Mapmakers of all ages. It also lists the 60 diverse contributors to the Icons' development, more of which is described in this section of the website. All registered Mapmakers receive copies of this large, brightly-colored poster. There is also a PDF version, which you can download in your choice of nine languages - Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Indonesian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish! Special thanks to the poster's translators: Misako Yomosa of the Kyoto Green Map and the Tennen Design Forum; Beatriz Castañeda, GMS Spanish Editor; and Louis-Martin Levac of the Eco-Montreal Map. This poster was designed by Mark Randall of World Studio with printing by New York Recycled Paper in 1999. The next edition will be published when version 3 of the Green Map Icons has been completed.
