About the Green Map Icons
Key to Green Map Icons & Colors
These globally designed Icons are utilized on locally-made Green Maps all over the world!
There are about 100 natural and cultural sites that are
fully described on LoMap. There are many more sites that are represented
as Icons that symbolically show us the type of place each site is. The
Icons are like friendly guides that will help you explore this map's surprises.
Please take a few minutes to read over the Icon Key! Or print it out.
More About the Icons:
- This award-winning visual language identifies all the different kinds of Green Map sites on LoMap
- On the city-wide Green Apple Map of NYC
- On youth-made Green Maps from Brooklyn
and Manhattan
- On Green Maps from many other neighborhoods, cities and regions around the world.
Each Icon promotes a green site and gives it a global linkage. Green Map Icon copyright Modern World Design 1999
