Green Map Widgets Launch in Budapest

Green Map Introduces Widgets

In Budapest on May 27 2010, Green Map System's Director, Wendy Brawer took part in a special public and press celebration with Green Map projects from 4 countries. There, exciting new widgets were launched! The widgets have already appeared on Mangrove Guard, Cape Town Green Map, Green Apple Map, and Walk Colchester.

Show your support for this important movement today!

"The crowd that gathered at Négyszáz applauded our latest interactive resource, grasping immediately how simple it is to bring great content created by Green Map projects around the world into sustainability, community engagement, social media, education and ecotourism websites and blogs," Wendy enthused. "This is a great way to share this important work, and at the same time, give diverse audiences an eye-opening experience!"

The celebration included a wonderful cake marking our organization's 15th anniversary! This 'edible Budapest Green Map' was dotted with icons, thanks to our hosts at the Tudatos Vásárlók EgyesületeHungarian Association of Conscious Consumers. Find images below from May's events with the "4BsHive" collaboration (Budapest, Berlin, Bristol UK and Bistrita RO), a unique two-year Green Mapmaking exchange project supported by the European Union (with a new website at 4bshive.wordpress.com).
